Every year the founders’ of the program organize a live event and allow each member to share their experiences and expertise with others.

No. BookTrades.Biz is not a scam. It is a legitimate program that provides training and coaching sessions on reselling used books through Amazon.
If you’re considering partnering with them, then you are in perfectly good hands. From the looks of it, I believe that they could deliver what you might be expecting from an online merchant site.
The only con of the program is its high base price and expensive monthly fees. In addition, the business model yields low profits. They may be preferable if you’re only looking for extra income.

As I repeatedly emphasized in this article, the business of selling stuff on Amazon possesses many challenges, including marketability and recurring fees involved.

Although their operation is legitimate, the concern here is the business model itself. If you’re aiming to earn reliable and high income online, then selling and reselling books through Amazon isn’t the best platform for you.
Managing fulfillment orders on Amazon involves a lot of costs to consider. In addition, the registration fee and recurring charges are too high, considering how little the potential income is.
To give you an example of the challenges on Amazon as a seller, let’s take the case of an FBA entrepreneur after six months in the business.
He claims that he was able to sell 25 books on Amazon in six months. With this number of sales, you would expect that he had somehow earned decent income from it. However, this isn’t exactly the case.
The breakdown of his profits is as follows—
- Gross profit from the 25 books sold: $242.07
- Operating expenses: $236.28
- Therefore, net profit is: $5.79
Yup, potential income is that low!
Below is an example of operating expenses involved for one book—
- Amazon referral: $1.35
- Per item fee: $1.80
- FBA fulfillment fee: $4.71
- Variable closing fee: $1.80
- Total fees: $8.85
This cost is on top of the registration fee of $3,500 and monthly charges of $297.
So yeah, that’s why I don’t feel like recommending the program at all. But if you have enough money to invest and still want to try the program, then, by all means, do so at your own risk.
