Is List Leverage a scam? Or is it legit? For today’s review, I’ll help you determine whether they’re a good investment or should you avoid them?
You might have come across Matthew Neer’s List Leverage as you’re searching for a legitimate source of income online.
And for some reason, it caught your attention, and you want to know more about the program and how it works.
If this is the case, then this article is specially made just for you!
In today’s topic, I will provide you a thorough analysis of List Leverage and help you determine whether it’s worth your money or not.
But before I begin, allow me to disclose that I am NOT an affiliate of Matthew Neer and in NO way promoting his programs. This article is my unbiased opinion on his system based on the data I’ve gathered an understanding and experience with MLMs.
So is List Leverage a scam? Or, are they a legitimate business opportunity?
Let’s begin…
Product Name: List Leverage
Owner/Creator : Matthew Neer
Price: From $47 to $398 and more…
Recommended: No
Who is Matthew Neer?
Matthew Neer regarded himself as a digital marketer, and he is pretty well-known for his overhyped claims that his products can provide a quick and easy way to earn money.
List Leverage was also featured on this website a few years ago—List Leverage review 2019. In addition, he is the creator of other programs that bear the same hype. Two of them are previously reviewed here as well. You may check them out if you like—Viral Cash App and Speed Wealth System.
The only positive side about his program is that he doesn’t conceal his identity, unlike other programs/systems of similar nature.
Although this may be the case, I tend to be very skeptical anytime I hear a guru claiming that they can help anyone generate passive income “on autopilot”.
You need to bear in mind that this is not how affiliate marketing or email marketing works. Achieving financial freedom through these eCommerce platforms/methods is possible, but it may not happen in your expected timeline or in the timeline that these systems pretend to be able to generate revenues…
But am I wrong about Matthew Neer? Is List Leverage different from his other programs? Or is he a con artist after all?
Let’s continue and find out more about the program…
What is List Leverage? Is it an MLM or an affiliate marketing program?
Matthew Neer advertises List Leverage as a program that offers an opportunity for affiliate marketing via email marketing. However, I doubt such a claim and believe that they’re indeed a business running an MLM operation.
For one thing, you have to recruit actively to qualify for commissions—this is one of the tell-tale signs that the business is an MLM.
In addition, it’s clear that they offer a compensation plan which isn’t an essential element in affiliate marketing.
But you may argue that they do offer content and digital products.
Well, yes, they do. But they’re pre-made content! And if you intend to learn affiliate marketing, then List Leverage won’t be of any value to you.
And the problem with “done for you” products is that they become worthless when they become saturated.
It’s more like an investment scheme if you ask me—you pay me this amount of money, and you get an equivalent return accordingly.
Bear in mind that there’s no guaranteed fixed amount in affiliate marketing. Your income may greatly fluctuate from time to time—but that’s perfectly normal.
Also, your success in this type of business model relies on your web pages’ quality and lead generation, and it doesn’t depend on creating a lower network.
It became apparent that they’re only using eCommerce as a front act as soon as I’ve figured that the system is a DFY (Done for you) program and offers a compensation plan.
Since you’re not receiving any real products, I also suspect that the business is a pyramid scheme because all you’re going to get is a promise of high returns.
I also reviewed similar programs that you may want to check out, like Infinity Processing System and Mega Marketing System.
So is List Leverage a scam? Let’s continue and find out more…
The List Leverage Business Opportunity
One of the trademarks of multi-level marketing businesses is their complex and incomprehensible compensation plan. They are so convoluted that it seems like you would need a rocket scientist to decipher the entire business opportunity.
It’s a practice that some of them do to prevent further questioning from potential clients and make you feel that they are the only ones who can relay them to you.
The compensation plan of List Leverage is no different. They’re only four pages long but very hard to understand. You can check their full compensation plan here.
In reality, you only have to remember two things in mind whenever you’re dealing with MLMs, and that is their income streams are basically coming from these sources—
- Recruitment – commissions are based on how active a representative is. It means whether they’re actively promoting the product and recruiting people.
- Product sales – actual commissions from sales.
In the following sections, I will discuss their income streams in more detail…
How much will it cost me to join List Leverage?
List Leverage offers two packages—
- The basic membership package charges a monthly fee of $47
- Super Affiliate membership package charges an annual fee of $398
What are the income streams of List Leverage?
Below are the income streams of List Leverage’s business opportunity—
Recruitment Commissions
According to their compensation plan table, the basic membership of List Leverage yields $20 commissions per month. However, the catch is you must actively promoting the products and recruiting people into the network.
On the other hand, $200 commissions are earned if you avail of the Super Affiliate membership package.
Again, the MLM representative must be active to become eligible for commissions and bonuses. If they become inactive, the earnings will roll over to the next eligible upper line representative.
Product Commissions
The commissions for every product sold are as follows—
- Pages ($97) – $50 commission per sale
- Swipes ($247) – $125 commission per sale
- Webinars ($497) – $250 commission per sale
It is mentioned that the representatives’ sponsor receives a commission as well. Again, the upper lines must be active to qualify for the bonus.
Monetization (Click Cash) Compensation
As mentioned, their main products are pre-made contents that you have to promote. The representative also earns from every product sold.
- All-In Badge Qualified Members – $0.20 commission from personal leads.
- All-In Badge Qualified Members “Override” – $0.05 commission from leads generated by your lower lines.
- Non-All-In Badge Qualified Members – these representatives aren’t qualified to receive any compensations.
To be considered active and become eligible for this bonus, you need to avail these compensation packages as well—
- Send Shark – it costs from $220 to $8,397 with recurring charges of $47 to $144.
- Traffic Authority – it costs $25 per month
Yes, the upsells are that expensive!

Is List Leverage a scam? Here are some of the red flags!
As of now, I didn’t find any reason to believe that List Leverage is a scam. However, I am not sure of their legitimacy as well.
In either way, I don’t recommend the product. Here’s why—
Success is based on recruitment
List Leverage does not offer any real products. Instead, you offer potential clients pre-made content that they’re going to promote, and this cycle goes on and on.
As repeatedly emphasized, you are not eligible for commissions and bonuses unless you remain active. And in events that you become inactive, the incentives will be passed on to the next eligible direct sponsors.
Therefore, you need to continuously recruit new people into the network for you to earn income.
If you look at it from another perspective, it appears to be more like a pyramid scheme because you are only getting a promise of a specific amount of income in return for your investment.
Multi-Level Marketing is not a stable business model
The bread and butter of MLMs is recruitment. But to give a more accurate term, it is their lifeline because the entire structure would collapse without it.
Imagine this scenario for a moment—let’s say, for example, that the individuals at the very bottom of the network became inactive because they were unable to meet the required sales volume and number of recruitment.
Such an instance would lead the representatives to lose money that disables them from maintaining monthly fees. As a result, they’d likely feel that continuing with them would no longer make sense and then quit the business opportunity altogether.
As I discussed, the business will fail eventually without the contribution of the representatives at the base of the network.
Multi-Level Marketing is not a reliable source of income
According to Federal Trade Commission, success in multi-level marketing is very rare. According to their research, it was shown that 99% of people who join MLMs are more likely to experience losses than gain any form of profits.
You can check FTC’s full study in Jon Taylor’s book, “Multi-Level Marketing Unmasked.”
No income disclosure statement
In the disclaimer, it is mentioned that the program was only recently launched. However, their domain age suggests otherwise—
As you see, the webpage is about ten years old!
This means that they should already have an income disclosure statement that proves the hype they have promised.
Expensive products plus upsells
The basic packages of List Leverage will cost you about $50 to $400. And if you want to fully take advantage of its features, you may have to spend for their upsells, which would cost you up to $8,000!
If you’re looking for a more affordable program that can provide you quality training on affiliate marketing, then you have to check out my best work-from-home recommendation!
No BBB credentials
For most of us, the Better Business Bureau, or simply the BBB, is one way we check a company’s credibility and ability to manage customer concerns.
Not having one doesn’t immediately conclude that they are scam or illegitimate. However, it would greatly impact the decision-making of a potential client.
Pros
The only pro I could come up with is that List Leverage has a 30-day money-back guarantee.
Cons
Overhyped claims
Expensive products plus upsells
Not a reliable source of income
The MLM business model is not stable that could collapse anytime
No income disclosure statement
No BBB credentials
Affiliate marketing and email marketing are not taught here because everything is pre-made.
Success is recruitment-based
Final thoughts
I hope my article has provided you with the answer to this all-important question—is List Leverage a scam? Or, are they a legitimate business opportunity to engage in.
Although I did not find reasons to believe that List Leverage is a scam as of yet, I don’t recommend the program or any MLMs for that matter.
As emphasized earlier, earning any significant and reliable income from them is extremely rare.
Plus, the market for pre-made content would be challenging to sell once they have become saturated.
If you want to learn how you can truly achieve financial independence without breaking your budget, let’s continue to the last section of the article…
How I earn income online
Affiliate marketing is the best source of income online for a number of apparent reasons, and it includes the following—
- It is free to begin!
- Super affordable!
- No inventories to manage!
- No risk is involved!
- It is a higher and more reliable source of income!
- No upsells!
- No hidden charges!
- And most importantly, potential income is unlimited because you can essentially promote as many brands as you wish!
Your main responsibility as an affiliate marketer is to represent a brand by promoting their products or services through your online content or social media influence.
The business will provide you a personalized affiliate link which you’ll be going to use in marketing their brand.
And then, commissions are earned every time someone clicks the link and uses it to purchase the products offered on the landing site of the online business.
Of course, the success in this type of opportunity relies on how well you maintain the quality of your site and effectively generate leads.
If you’re a complete newbie to the concept of affiliate marketing and have no idea where to begin, or you may already be engaged in it but struggling as of the moment, then worry any further—I got your back!
